After the tragedies in Japan I couldn't stop thinking about life and how much I cherish the things I have and love. This song is a sad song about the feelings I went through following the coverage of the disaster. All proceeds will be donated to a relief fund to help the recovery process.

I was stunned with the footage of the disaster in Japan. I tried to go through regular day events and could not do any normal functions without thinking about how I would be handling something like that.
I also came down with a bad lung and throat cold the same week so I was unable to sing in my normal methods. I decided to track the vocals in a low and almost Tom Waits/Leonard Cohen type of fashion. I also got Jason Welling to come in an record some Violin on the track.
lyrics
DYING BREATH
VERSE
Daylight breaks on leveled lands
Water washed the life from the sands
Yesterday I had troubled hands
but now I'm thankful I can stand
Not breathing in my dying breath
I still have the ones I love
I can see the colors and hear the songs
Get myself into an argument or have a drink that follows a kiss
cause I'm not breathing my dying breath
Im still alive with no regrets
I guess it takes something like this
to put it all in perspective
i'm not breathing my dying breath
CHORUS
What do my goals really mean
Haunted by the imagery
what if this happened to me
running from the flooding sea
taking in my dying breath
VERSE
Always some type of strategy
complicating everything
I see the good in simple things
Cause this can all be washed away
and then your breathing your dying breath
last moment full of regrets
I guess it takes something like this
to put it all in perspective
taking in your dying breath
CHORUS
What do my goals really mean
Haunted by the imagery
what if this happened to me
running from the flooding sea
and taking in my dying breath
